HOW TO OVERCOME THE POST-CHRISTMAS BLUES

Are you experiencing post-festivity syndrome now that Christmas is over?
That’s when all the bingeing on cakes, cookies and all that lovely Christmas food has got you feeling sluggish and bloated. Time to get back into shape! Here are a few SEEDS & SHORES tips to get yourself back to your pre-festivity self and feeling better…

1. Clear out the festive food.
Now that the celebrations are over, its time to get rid of that leftover turkey, chocolates and cakes. Or at the very least, control your consumption of such foods to a minimum so that you don’t binge on them.
2. Start getting back into your exercise regime.
Its going to be hard getting back into working out after a long layoff. Make the attempt to slowly get back into your fitness routine with baby steps and slowly but surely, you’ll get back into your normal routine. One helpful way is to do exercises that you enjoy as you work your way back to your healthy weight
3. Eat more veggies for your meals
Reduce the amount of meat in your post-Christmas meals and focus more on greens. Healthy green vegetables help to alkalize the body and will support detoxification. They will also keep you feeling fuller for longer so you won’t binge on cookies and cakes in between meals. Obviously, having a more veggie-oriented diet will help you drop the extra kilos you gained during the festivities faster. For your convenience, you can get Australian farm-fresh vegetables from Seeds & Shores shelves at your neighbourhood AEON and Jaya Grocer supermarkets!
Hope that helps! 😁
