How To Make And Keep New Year Resolutions
HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone! Welcome to 2021!
With the advent of a new year, it is customary for many of us to make new resolutions to challenge & improve ourselves. Success rates may vary from person to person, but here are some short tips on how we can make our resolutions sustainable & achievable for the new year.
1. Make your goals realistic & attainable.
Keep your challenges achievable and set bite-size milestones that are obtainable. Upon reaching each milestone, increase your effort. You’ll find things more approachable and do-able.
2. Measure & track your goals.
Have your goals written down in a journal/planner so that you can track your progress, thoughts & ideas. You will have a better picture of where you’re heading and not lose direction or motivation.
3. Plan your celebrations!
Celebrate your achievements at every milestone you set and accomplish. For example, if your target was to lose 5kg at the end of 2 months, reward yourself with that new outfit you’ve been eyeing! It’ll give you the motivation & inspiration to do the work and not give up.
