Australian Broccoli
A green vegetable that vaguely resembles a miniature tree.
Broccoli is a member of the brassica family and has a distinctive ‘mustardy’ taste. It’s closely related to cabbage, Brussels sprouts, kale and cauliflower — all edible plants collectively referred to as cruciferous vegetables. While the heads are normally eaten, the stalks and leaves are also edible.
Broccoli can be eaten cooked or raw — both are perfectly healthy but provide different nutrient profiles.
